Careers Counselling 

Our Careers Advisor works closely with students to support their career development. We offer personalised career counselling, resume workshops, and interview preparation to ensure students are well-prepared for their next steps, whether that’s tertiary education, vocational training, or entering the workforce. 

The services provided are: 

  • Careers counselling which includes appropriate subject selection, matching student’s interests to appropriate careers 
  • Career pathway support such as resume writing, interview and presentation skills 
  • Organising talks, access to service providers and potential employers, for information on employment requirements 
  • Conducting careers excursions, for example to the Careers Expos for Years 10 and 12 
  • Work experience organisation for Year 10 with local businesses and community partners 
  • Organisation and support of students undertaking School Bases Traineeships and Apprenticeships 
  • Organisation and support for the External VET (EVET) programs (Year 11 and 12) 

Our careers adviser has a ‘door always open’ policy and students are welcome to drop in at the Careers Office and make an appointment at any time. Parents can call if they have questions or concerns.
